Sometimes Twilight Does Not Appear

twilight4 (2)

Sometimes twilight does not appear.

Moments before dawn or after sunset

It does not show,

Does not relieve hope or despair

Before or after Earth’s longer spin is met.

It does not glow a soul’s blue light

Before night is marrow black

Or day is bone white.

Clouds hide enough to turn all gray

Without goodbye

To prelude a long day, or lullaby night.

Thus hope or despair is endless

When Earth’s longer spin is without twilight.
